In recent years at Salem, many students looking for a campus location for photographs that are quintessentially "Salem" have chosen a bench located under a magnolia tree just outside the Rondthaler Science Building. The pretty stone bench is engraved with Salem's seal on the seat and the motto "Make a Difference" carved into the front edge of the seat.
